So I checked my daughters height and weight the other day. She is between 75th and 91st for height, and 98th for weight. She’s always been within that range. However the NHS website says she is ‘very overweight’.
She has a great diet, lots of fruits and veggies, the odd treat here and there but nothing crazy. She’s ‘solid’ but I’ve never looked at her and thought she was overweight.
Should I be concerned that she’s on 98th centile? She was weighed by HV in January and they did t seem to be concerned at the time but given she’s approaching 3, should I be more focused on it now??

My son is 98th centile too. He was also born Nov 20. He doesn't look overweight but he is in age 4-5 clothes , hes tall and the size of a 4 year old 😂 they all come in different shapes and sizes. So unless you look at her and think she has excess fat, try not to worry ❤️

I dont even look at centiles now, as long as they have a balanced diet and aren't drastically losing weight. All kids are built differently

No...your daughter is healthy and thriving and that's what matters. Hundreds of years ago there existed no percentiles and babies did just find. Don't go down the rabbit hole of googling things...I've done that and it's just caused me to overthink more than necessary!
