CMPA?

Hi everyone, my little one is 4 weeks old tomorrow and we’ve been to the doctors today to just be palmed off really. My baby is projectile sick after 1-2 bottles a day, she screams during and after having a bottle she settles for two minutes then she’s up crying again, she gets hiccups, flaky skin, coughing, sneezing, constipation but then has an explosive poo, she’s forever bringing her legs up and brings wind up really well when I’m burping her, I’m just at a loss really we tried colief drops but they didn’t really make a difference, the doctor said she had colic but then retracted and said I’m feeding her too much, I should stop her from drinking when i think she’s had enough and feed her more often. Has anyone else’s little ones had these symptoms and had other advice. She is formula fed due to me not being able to breastfeed and I’m just in the process of weaning her onto SMA colic and constipation to see if that makes a difference. TIA

We have had similar issue with our 4 week old we changed to C&G comfort for colic and constipation and actually made him worse we then went back on C&G first milk and he is refusing to feed or spitting it out straining when even having a watery poo constant belly pains and noises and has dropped his intake in milk. HV advised us to go to docs and ask for intolerance milk which we have been prescribed today. May be worth speaking to your HV

I’ve literally just got prescription milk today for the exact same reason! I was basically sent away twice last week from the doctors who put it down to my little one ‘being a baby’. But I have a really supportive health visitor who stepped in and referred me to the ‘unsettled baby clinic’ (which may just be in my area) where a specialist midwife I believe listened to me and instantly said it’s CMPA. I could of cried with relief at being listened too! I would suggest maybe speaking with your midwife and seeing what they can do 😊

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
