I really can't cope with being a mum, my child's 3 soon, I'm really struggling as I feel like my child's so far behind other kids, I try to do nice fun activities and my child just won't take any interest in anything, I try to teach them things like using their scooter, doing colouring and painting and everything else my child won't show any in anything.
I see other kids thriving, speaking really well and all I can see is the things my child can't
I feel like I'm a complete failure, a rubbish parent and I'm hating every part of being a mum
Why is it so hard? Does it get better?

Speech is been repetitive and repeats me a lot, I just want what I see my friends have 😞

Have you spoken to a health visitor or you doctor? Sounds a lot like my child when he was little. I embraced what he liked and he seem to grow closer to me once I stoped showing disappointment when he refused to do stuff. He’s 5 now and he’s speaking, trying new things, new foods. I miss those days where he would just ask to go sit on the bus and drive around, or play with the same 3 toys. Or we would just sit by the canal and throw stones in. I felt like I’m a failure many times. But it’s the opposite. Sometimes we just need to listen to our children, it’s ok for your child to be different, he doesn’t have to be the same like everyone else xx

I definitely would speak to a GP or a health visitor about your concerns. There might be a reason that your child isn’t interested in those things. It’s definitely not a reflection of your parenting ability!
