So my husband and I moved into our own place a few weeks ago with our son. We were living with his parents as the housing market and rental rates were stupid high. Once we secured a place my husband told me that he was going to help out around the house. Well fast forward to moving in, he wasn't helping out around the house....shocker. He would come home from work and sit down and play his video games until bed and on weekends would play from the time he woke up until he went to bed. I tried talking to him multiple times about not playing his games as much but apparently it went in one ear and out the other. I was so fed up so I went on Facebook and posted the gaming consoles and games privately so only he could see the post to make it look like I was selling them. After he saw the post his attitude changed real fast. He now will at least pick up our sons toys and sweep the floor. Mind you I don't ask much of him just to help out here and there so I don't get so overwhelmed, because I know he works all day. Yes, I feel bad for taking it that far and I know it was a bitch move but I was at my wits end. AITA?

I don’t blame you, he needs to help you! My husband is addicted to playing his game too but he does help out around the house. I wish he would spend more quality time with me instead of his game sometimes but at this point I really don’t care.

You're not. He should have kept to his word, and you didn't sell his stuff. You just had a pretty strong pretend game going on to make it look like you were.

Hey if it works it works lol you tried talking first so 🤷

Aye it worked! Lol

Not at all. It worked 😅👏🏾
