Reflux?

That’s what I had with my LO. I kept track of when I was feeding him and then how many times after and how long after each feed he was sick. Took me a while for the gp to listen but got him put onto Gaviscon which didn’t help. He’s now on omeprazole and that’s making a difference - still a little sick but not after every feed anymore!

How is she after she’s sick? Happy or distressed? My son is sick often like you’ve described but he’s always happy and putting on weight so I’m just living with the extra washing. If she is distressed and seems in pain e.g. curling legs up then she might be bringing up gastric fluid that burns - like heartburn in adults - and that would def need gaviscon or alt medicine.

If she’s not in pain you could try smaller but more frequent feeds to see if that helps. Burping her by sitting her on your lap and moving her upper body in circles might help too. Also keeping her upright for 15min-30min post feeds.

she’s absolutely fine, no signs of distress. If anything she smiles at me as she’s covered in puke🤣if I did smaller and more frequent feeds, how frequent should I do it? She feeds about every 3 hours during the day.

Could be over feeding? Mine throws up a lot when he gets too much.

That sounds just like my son - smiling away. Are you bottle only? I’m afraid I’m not up on bottle feeding. But I’m guessing you take what you’d give over two feeds three hours apart and try giving the same amount in three feeds two hours apart.

Mine Is the same. I'm breastfeeding so I've been told by the infant feeding team to lean back as much as possible to reduce the speed of the milk flow and I keep her upright for 30 minutes. It is literally the only way to reduce the sickness, but she's still sick a lot and we have to leave the house with 6+ outfit changes
