2 month shots advice?

Anyone have experience with post-vaccine time? My baby got his 2 month shots this morning at about 9:30am and has been crying, fussing, and sleeping on and off ever since. I finally got him laid down in his bassinet so I could eat lunch. Should I just let him keep sleeping as long as he wants and ignore our normal wake windows for the day (other than to make sure he wakes up to eat of course)? Or should I try to get him to play and interact like normal? TIA!

My daughter got hers today too around the same time and she’s been sleeping since she ate when she came home but won’t go in her bassinet i gave her Tylenol she’s not crying anymore

Personally I would try to keep his wake windows on the lower end of his normal range and not let him sleep longer than 2 hour stretches. But I’m a stickler for sleep schedules 🫠

I let my baby sleep and we had lots of cuddles after hers. We still did tummy time and tried to play when she did wake. But after a few days she was back to herself and we went back to schedule. Also when possible I try to schedule any appointments she gets shots for the afternoon so I can at least keep the first half of the day on track. I do realize this isn't a possibility for everyone however.

Smart idea! I definitely wish his would’ve been later in the day. Thank you!

Tylenol is definitely seeming to help! Thanks!

I let my lil dude sleep. I did try to wake for feeds. Even with me not pushing the issue he still stayed awake for a decent amount of time during the day. He still slept at night sp well the first 2 nights after his shots... but the last 2 nights (we are coming up on day 5 since shots) he's been sleeping horribly at night, waking every hour between 11pm and 3am and then finally passing out for 5 or 6 hours. 🫠

My baby is not there yet but with my first I made sure she slept as much as she needed and went back to her schedule once she felt better. We also gave her extra cuddles. As others mentioned, Tylenol helped too.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
