Food & Poop

My daughter is 7.5 months old. She's been EBF and started solids at 6 months. Does eating solids change the amount of poops? It seems like she has been backed up the past few days. The last time she 💩 was because I gave her prunes diluted with water in her cup. Should I be concerned?

Yes it definitely does, at least from what I have seen. She used to poop multiple times a day or at least once a day. Since we started solids it's literally every other day sometimes longer but we are pretty regular with every other day now.
And we were in the same path as you EBF, started solids at 6 months. My daughter is 8mo

My daughter is 8 mos, started solids at 6 mos, was EBF until then. For the most part poops every day, on occasion she will go 1 day without pooping. We gave her probiotics in the first few months, mixed in with breast milk, and I plan on starting her up again. I strongly recommend them.

Oh good. Thank you. I was going to call the pediatrician and make an appointment.

Yes it's less overall water they're taking in so their poops get firmer and means it'll happen less often. We've gone a few days without and then it's an explosion👀

Yes! Ebf baby would poop every day and then solids backed her up. I gave her yogurt and upped her water intake. Just get ready cause those 💩 are solidddddd.

it depends on what you're feeding her , fruits help you go veggies help you not go usually

I had her on them as well. I was using the vitamin D + probiotic drops

the few that she's had have been soft solid

Definitely keeping that in mind. She loves winter squash.

thankfully we had a GI appointment for her and she told me it's very common for babies digestion to change after starting solids so I felt better hearing that

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
