What is everyone else’s babies consuming? I’m curious as my little one is 15 days old and sadly we ended our breastfeeding journey on Sunday due to several factors.
So on formula he seems to be feeding every 2 hours through the day around 1-2oz, sometimes going 3-3.5 hours overnight and having upto 3oz.
Today he seems to be having some violent burps in which he has then been sick. Think this is more my fault for not burping frequently though.
Just curious what everyone else is doing

My little girl is 13 days and formula fed from the start. She averages 3 ounces every 3 hours

We’re on day 14 and very close to moving towards formula. Have you found it’s giving you more sleep over night switching to formula? That’s my main problem at the moment, he’s waking every hour to feed and by the time I’ve put him down, he’s up again ☹️

yes I found he does sleep slightly longer over night. Yeah the night time feeding was savage when breastfeeding. He only ever took my left boob but then on Sunday he completely refused to latch all morning so he was absolutely starving. It’s not how I wanted feeding to go but he’s fed and it kind of works better as have another little one who needs my attention xx

it is such a challenging journey, I hope all goes well for you and your little one 🥰

We are combi feeding as our little one is too hungry for me to keep up with breast milk, she has 100ml every 3 hours in the day and 4-5 hours overnight xx she's 3 weeks tomorrow

The puking may just be their tummies getting used to the formula as it is alot richer than breast milk.. my little one was the same, I started them on breast and by about day 4/5 I introduce some formula as they weren't latching properly but started puking it up a couple of days after but seems to have settled down again. I did see the infant feeding team and she also said the same. Also a baby will only puke up excess milk that their tummy can't handle so don't worry too much, unless it's an unusual colour or a huge amount x
My little one now weighs 10.2lb and he is 2.5 weeks 🙈 He has 4oz every 3 hrs

We have formula fed from the start, we are 10 days old and averaging 3-4 oz. Every 3.5 hours she weighed 8lbs. 1oz. At birth.

My little one is 2.5 weeks and having 5oz every 3-4 hours currently weighs 9lb15oz

just curious, what’s your baby’s weight??? I feel like I might be over feeding 🤦🏻♀️😂

she was 8lb8 at birth last weigh in she was 8lb6 due to see the midwife Sunday and hoping she will be back to birth weight

thank you!

My little girl is 11 days old and having 1 oz every 2 hours with intermittently feeding 2-3 oz on random feeds. She is 2% below her birth weight still and gaining slowly.
I tried like basically forcing her Al the ways they say and she screamed house down with trapped wind and tummy ache all night so they said they're not worried she might just be a slow starter.

Day 5 here and bottle fed from the start. Averaging 3-4oz every 3-4 hours. He was a bigger baby - 10.3Ibs at birth but still gorgeous 🥰

Day 5 3 ounces if age could she would finish tub. Born weighing 6 pound 7 weighed today and is around 7 pound 1 7 pound 2 haha x

Day 10 - weighed 8lbs 2oz at birth - she’s averaging about 3/4 oz every 2/3 hours. Currently weighing 8lbs 11oz now.

Out of interest does everyone wake their babies through the night? My boy is 19 days old, he’s 9lbs 6 (he was a big boy lol) and sometimes he can sleep 5-6 hours in the night and this worries me so I wake him, should I?
Thanks x

my babies the same he’s big too, so you wake your son through the day and night or wait till he’s ready?

Midwife said when we were discharged that I didn't have to wake her during the night anymore as she was back to birth weight

Hes above birth weight but I wake still as hes only 10 days old. Hes pretty much ready for the feed anyway after 3-4 hours x
