Yesterday my partner made an joking comment that if the house was this messy now how bad will it be when I go back to work in March. I know he was joking but it still annoyed me since he does nothing around the house. I asked him to put the bin out on bin days and he can’t even manage that!!
My little one has started having x2 1.5hr naps instead of x3 30 mins so have more time at the moment. If you keep on top of your house yourself how do you do it? Do you clean certain rooms certain days?
My issue is the never ending clothes washing/putting away it’s the job I hate the most.

🤣🤣 I don't. I know it's not helpful but I'm just letting you know you aren't alone. I also do almost everything 🙋🏻♀️ my partner doesn't care though its me who cares especially when people come over but I'm slowly learning its not that important.
Also I hate putting washing away. I'm getting better....but usually it can spend days folded up in a basket 🤣

I just clean as I go along. I hate mess so even when it’s a little bit messy, I get easily overwhelmed. I have a small flat and a cordless vacuum so I can easily do the floors everyday. Kids toys get put away everyday. Kitchen surfaces cleaned multiple times throughout the day 😅 I do the laundry a couple of times a week. There’s always clothes out drying just waiting for the next loads but I’d rather that than have dirty laundry piling up. I think the key is to clean as you go.
I wish I was the type of person who cleaned up as I go! Maybe I’ll try start x

My house is a mess plus I’m moving so you can imagine what I’m living in right now 💀😂

My partner has made jokes too which we actually had an argument about the other day as he hardly does a thing 🙃 The mess is getting overwhelming now! I think I’m going to have to ask my MIL to have my daughter one afternoon and I just blitz everywhere! X

Aw honestly I’m the same🤦🏽♀️ 6 month old, & 14 week pregnant it’s soooo difficult to keep up with!! Ur not alone😂

The Organised Mum Method on instagram and she has an app. It’s brilliant xx

Your defo not alone, as a mum of 5 alongside a man child its bloody hard trying to keep everywhere clean and tidy! I feel like I spend hours some days and it literally looks no different!
I hate looking at some people's homes and thinking htf do you get it so clean or to stay clean!? On the flip side I don't like proper spick and span show looking houses when children live there and it looks like no children live there, all clinical not a single sign of a child's existence.. I find it quite saddening.
Just do a room at a time, you will get there. I also hate having to put the washing away 😂😂

Everyday I do a general tidy up... Put the dishes in the dishwasher, put the dry ones away, make the beds, etc etc easy stuff.
Once a week I try to do a big job in at least one room... Kitchen or bathroom for example will get a complete wipe down and clean. Or I'll clean every window (apartment filled with windows) dust the whole house, wipe all the baseboards etc etc
And twice a year I do a huge purge!
I go through absolutely everything in the house, usually takes me about a week, if it's something that isn't saved for another season or hasn't been touched in a month it gets thrown in the trash or donated.
I used to collect so much stuff basically a hoarder and life is so much better without all that crap. Just collects dust and makes your house feel dirty and crowded
Also do some of these tasks while your baby plays! Obviously easier said than done for some but will make such a difference for you in the long run if you are actually able to do these things when your baby is just playing independently!

If you can't tell from my comment I'm very OCD 🤣

Also that's the only task I leave for my husband.... Laundry!
Dreadful isn't it lol

Urgh also something im struggling with especially if little one doesn’t want to sleep in her cot! I try and prioritise tasks eg bathrooms and kitchen each week, plus cooking and laundry and then things like dusting and hoovering just whenever I get the chance! It’s really hard! Might get a cleaner when go back to work tbh

I keep my downstairs tidy but my upstairs omg what a mess 🤣 no one sees up there though, I also hate putting clothes away and resulted in buying another basket then when there full I empty the baskets on the spare bed and do more, debating getting a third tbh🤣 do all the pots from tea when baby is in bed but you are not alone!

I clean as I go x
So it doesn’t build up. And then do one big clean once a week.
I also live in a 2 bedroom flat so easier to maintain than a house.
I do have my lazy days but because I clean as I go most days it’s not a big deal.
