Evelina’s first tooth is cutting through, I can feel a sharp edge coming through. I’ve given her a dose of calpol two evenings in a row. Obviously don’t want to medicate every day but does anyone know how often is ok to give them calpol? What are others doing? Can’t give the toothing powder as contains lactose.

Teething gel can also help

And calpol should say how often on the bottle

You can give 4 doses of calpol in 24 hours I believe. The pain should be easing as it begins to break the surface too xx

I find ibuprofen (nurofen) works much better for pain xx

Oh yes I get no more than 4 in 24 hrs. I guess what I was trying to figure out was if I can give one dose every evening for say 4 days in a row. Obviously teeth coming through takes days (or weeks) so not sure if I can keep on giving it to her every evening when it seems to be worse for her.

with my first I felt like I was using it for a long time. Molars took wreks but was in pain with them. Gums up in big lumps xx

We did about 3 doses dayv1 and then just 1 dose in the evening tge next 3 days and thst seems to have worked well for both of his two so far. If I'd felt he needed another day with a dose I would have done one more and then contacted GP.for advice
