Infacol, Dentinox, Colief or Gripe Water?

Hi mums, so much conflicting information online and from HV so I want to see if there is any tried and tested relief for a very gassy tummy.

My baby goes for a poo once a day and it’s normal but in between, she’s very gassy and her belly can become rock hard. She’s formula fed.

What has worked best for you

Infacol, Dentinox, Colief or Gripe Water?

Infacol has worked so far for my now 10wk old BF baby. However since 8 wk jabs had terrible trapped wind, gripe water worked but have been recommended infacol before every feed and gripe water after at BF clinic this morning as a tried and tested method by multiple Mums! .

My boy is 9 weeks old and before we started using Infacol, he used to be really unsettled after every feed and it would take ages to wind him. Since using infacol before every feed (we started using it about 3 weeks ago), he’s no longer crying after his feed and we barely have to wind him, he burps/passes wind of his own accord 🙌🏼 So we’ve had a great experience of Infacol

Infacol and gripe water works well for my wee boy hes 10weeks old

Infacol made my LO’s reflux worse. My LO hated the taste of dentinox and refused it. Haven’t tried colief as it’s expensive. Gripe water works for us!

Gripe water works for me, my girl has reflux so have to be careful what we use!

Infacol and Gripe Water have worked for my son. He absolutely hated and cried at the taste of Dentinox (it doesn’t smell nice tbh) so wouldn’t bother with that 😬

We do a mix between gripe water and infacol try to alternate the two with each bottle and that seems to work good us ☺️

Non of them worked for my LO, untill we tried coleif drops in her milk. That help somewhat but then i switched to Aptamil comfort which has the medicine in the milk. Coleif drops use to be given out on prescription from drs i was told but now you have to buy it. It is quite expensive so i prefer buying aptamil comfort which works out better in price and now my girl hardly cries. I also give her abit of gripe water in the day too. It has made her into a happy lil baby

Have you tried probiotics? We use Bio Gaia and my little girl poos very regularly

My little girl is 11 weeks old, Formula Fed and we’ve had her on Infacol since 5 weeks as she suffered bad with trapped wind and have found it’s worked wonders! X

Bio Gaia Probiotics and a visit to a cranial osteopath!

Thanks ladies! My little one has had 3 osteopath sessions so far (which I think helped her reflux) and has been taking BioGaia drops from 3 weeks. I feel like I’ve tried everything else, bottles, feeding positions, massages but she still farts like a trooper and squirms/thrashes around all night long. She has infacol at the moment and I wasn’t sure whether to change this. I think I’ll give gripe water a go and see how she gets on. Fingers crossed she grows out of it naturally (she’s 8 weeks today) x

Which gripe water do you all use please? X

I think it was around the 10 week mark that my LG settled although she still gets terrible trapped wind from jabs. I think sometimes their digestive systems are so immature. Hope it gets better soon. Though! As soon as my LG’s improved, she started sleeping 3 hour blocks which was amazing! X

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
