This exists! Try the group mentioned above or Extended Rear Facing (ERF) Car Seat Safety on Facebook, the admin team are so helpful with recommendations suited to little one
Most extended rear facing seats aren’t isofix! So you’re wanting something which is available in lots of options! You will probably need to use tethers, but if you get your car seat from a reputable place they’ll fit all that for you so you don’t need to worry! (Just get a fit check first before you buy depending on your car). The cheapest options are probably the britax maxway plus (discontinued but still available) or the older style Axkid mini kid 2. Both are Swedish plus tested with great ADAC scores and super safe. Deffo check out that facebook page though, they have experts that’ll really help!😊
@Emma do you know where the maxway plus is still available? We’re looking for another one for in laws so they don’t try to forward face our son against our wishes
@Rashida I’ve just checked and the place we got it from is now sold out🙃 I’ve seen here have it: https://www.babybabyonline.co.uk/car-seats-c4/shop-by-type-c19/extended-rear-facing-c439/britax-römer-max-way-plus-extended-rear-facing-car-seat-cosmos-black-p3649 But at that price you’re better off buying the axkid minikid 2!
@Emma you’re a diamond! Thank you x
I’d recommend considering the BeSafe Stretch if your budget allows. Just recently got it and loving it so far. It is up to 36kg, Swedish plus tested, tethered and lots of happy customers on the car seat safety FB group x
Yes! I would join car seat safety UK on Facebook. I bought the Britax Maxway that's now been discontinued but the people that run the groups will recommend a seat based on your little ones weight and budget. As my LG is a chunk we went for a 25kg rear facing seat
