Overdue

Hi ladies first time mum here. I'm currently just over my dues date and getting a little stressed about being induced (which I'd rather avoid of at all safely possible) any advice on how to avoid this or information on what it was like? How many of you went into labour naturally?

Hi! I was 9 days overdue before I was induced due to decreased movements! Have you tried getting a sweep? I hear having more than 1 can be beneficial, I only had 1 and it did help me a little bit! Otherwise, try some walking if you can, sex as well I hear can help it get a long! My induction was a little complicated and so was my labour so I’m not going to go into that. However due to being induced my labour was only 4hrs so if you plan on having pain relief like the epidural I’d recommend making it clear you’d like one! Only because when I did ask for one, i was too late 😬 not sure if this was helpful but I wish you all the best! Try relaxing (I know easier said than done) as we want to release the happy hormones that can help trigger labour! You got this girl!

With my first I went into labour naturally at 39+3 (1 week before my scheduled induction, due to gestational diabetes). To naturally induced I did at the tricks in the book, raspberry leaf tea, accupuncture, etc. We did the following the night I went into labour: sex @10pm, then I listened on YouTube to a "Sleep hypnosis to induced Labor naturally (girl)" by Anthony Reed. Labor started at 1am, baby girl arrived 3am.

With my second I was overdue and since I had gestational diabetes again I booked the induction on 40+5. It was great, pitocin drip at 9am, easy contractions till 1pm, bit more difficult from that point and baby boy arrived 3.50pm.

Both labours were without an epidural.

You can do it!

I went 40+6, I had an induction scheduled for that 6th morning but went into labour naturally before I left (then had to get induced with pitocin because there was mec 🫠). In at 9am, baby out by midnight no drama. I was walking everyday, eating dates, drinking raspberry tea etc. You'll probably get a mixture of responses, unfortunately, what works for one woman won't be the case for the other. I know it's so daunting! But take it as it comes 🙂

I went into labour at 41+4 before my induction date and everything went well! I had the epidural and was the best decision ever! Labour lasted 30 hours!

I had reflexiology and the lady said she was gonna press the points for me to go into labour and 3 hrs later the contractions started!

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

Newborn stage

Is anyone tired of doing the same thing everyday and being on a 2-3 hour schedule? It’s the same everyday and I feel like I’m losing my mind. It’s making me depressed even if I get out once a day. When does it get better? I feel like I’m just waiting for the next stage where it’s not just sitting around all day.
