How would you respond

Is this stupid lady at work that since she found out I'm pregnant stares at my belly on purpose and says I'm big. And asking my parter if I'm really due in deceives I am very big. Bit of neck story I think she was a bit in love or had a crush with my partner before I joined the company she's a lot older than him-13y but her relationship with her husband seems to be weord and makes me think she fell for my boyfriend as he was nice to her as in a polite way. I'm so annoyed that every single finger day she makes this comment. I'm trying to not give her the satisfaction and I tell her that is normal as I'm getting close to my due date. But I'm really fed up.

I’ve had comments made about my body in work. One day I had enough and said “the last thing a pregnant person wants to hear is any comment about their body, positive or not” and it immediately stopped. Sometimes you just need to be direct 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s totally annoying ppl commenting on bump size! So next time she says anything you could just say ‘thanks xyz, but I’d really prefer if you didn’t comment on my bump size. I don’t comment on your body’.
Being blunt like this will probably shock/embarrass her and tbh might ruin your relationship but it is inappropriate and doesn’t sound like you’ve got a good relationship anyway.
If you really feel upset by it you could speak to HR, as it is a workplace issue. I’d probably respond directly first though.

Also, I’m a strong believer that if you don’t call ppl out when they are dickheads they’ll never fricking learn. And they typically always deserve it. So I’d just tell her straight, don’t get upset and don’t get your partner to say anything!

Ugh I’m sorry you’re experiencing this, some people are just so irritating with no filter aren’t they 🫣.
I agree with the above comment, next time just say ‘Our baby is growing right on track thank you!’ and absolutely mention that you don’t need comments made about your body, your growing a literal human, we go through enough! xx

I’d go to HR or make my manager aware and ask them to raise it with HR. You wouldn’t comment on someone’s body in any other scenario.

Love Sarah’s response! Sometimes you just need to be firm and say it how it is! You have every right to be annoyed and it sounds like she needs taking down a peg!

Tbh I've been told I'm big from the very beginning as I looked 5months pregnant when I was 8 weeks and couldn't hide my belly at all. I was a size 12/14 previous to being pregnant but instantly went massive.
I'm so used to it now but really bothered me at the beginning. when people say how big I am I just reply with I know, My little princess is growing healthy n happy in there.
What do people expect when your growing a human inside ur belly. You ain't gona be a skinny mini lol just embrace it

I had the opposite I was a six /8 before getting pregnant and had severe back problems prior to pregnancy and I am told how small I am and that how will I cope with it when I'm bigger, well today baby measured at 90% on the line so he's just perfect healthy size but yeah I would get annoyed because it's like oh your to small or something don't be dramatic about anything 🤷 people are strange when you get pregnant thinking they can touch you and comment on your body I was told by my brother in law at our gender reveal hi chubby that was all that was said to me that day just lack of respect and boundaries I guess I would be blunt good luck

You can either act like you love her comments about your gorgeous big baby and bump (which would probs wind her up more) or just tell her outright if she keeps commenting on your body you will make a complaint or start commenting on her body

@Sarah you are right.can't stand her so even better if she gives me space.she's always been jealous of me being with my bf. I know she wants to be rude. She also said that I'm soooo big to my bf when I wasn't around.

Is this normal?

Is it just my husband that does this? He is able to work from home via his computer and in the mornings and evenings he is on there doing his job. When he is done for the day he tends to stay in the room and either play video games or watch something. He will occasionally come out and play with the girls for a few minutes and that’s it but when I really need him he says he is busy. My daughters are both 1 year old now and I am just wondering how much involvement should he have with them now?
Idk if this is the norm or not…..

Tablet for kids

Alright don’t need any negative Nancy’s telling me not to get my 2yo a tablet so if that’s what your gunna do please don’t participate in my poll.

We’re about to move cross country 3+ day trip and my 2yo and 9m hate the car I’m talking scream their heads off till they are out of their seats. We’ve already changed car seats and it didn’t help so I’d like to at least have one entertained and sit next to baby and try and distract her or put her to sleep. Our new car has tvs but since they are rear faced my 2yo can’t see it.

Debating getting her a tablet or dvd player right now on long car rides I end up giving her my phone because I get so overwhelmed sitting in between both of them screaming and crying.

And yes I do bring different toys I bring snacks I play songs try to distract her other ways but for the sake of not losing my mind on this move I think this is best.

-A very overwhelmed and anxious to move mama 😓

5 month old activities

Hey everyone my baby is 5 months old and I want to reduce/cut screen time as I have read up on how bad it is what activities did people do to keep their baby entertained. Thank you in advance.

Daycare?

Thoughts on daycare?? Truly, I am SCARED to be leaving my kid for daycare. I literally do not trust anyone, not even family (they haven’t given me a reason it’s just trust issues on my end, you never know). He’s turning 3 and I’ve been a sahm the whole time but tbh my man doesn’t make enough for us to move out somewhere more calm . We live in a ‘not so safe’ area in LA and I’m just not used to living here so I just want us to give my son a better life and in order to speed up the process I would have to work.. I do lashes at home and I’d be open to take new clients so I wouldn’t have to look for work but I’m just scared to lose my license 😭
