Rolling on to tummy at night

They actually say once they've learnt to roll like that then it's ok to leave them because otherwise you'll be up all night flipping him back. He will eventually learn to go the other way, but definitely fine to leave him 😊

My almost 4 month old is doing the same, but can't always get to his tummy so I help him sometimes and then leave him to sleep on his tummy 🥰

Also make sure he's not swaddled or if he's in a sleeping bag that he's got both arms out.

Just to add to the above, sometimes rolling on to the tummy can be a sign they're a little cold, especially if arms are tucked under as well, so I'd be keeping an eye out for that.

oh that’s interesting!! I have his arms out in an ErgoPouch and I always get worried he arms are getting cold because that’s the only part of his body not covered (too hot to put him in long sleeves).

it may just mean you make the temp of the room slightly warmer if you can to account for that. But I think they're comfortable in like 21°C and then you dress them accordingly

that’s what I was worried about..How am I going to watch him all night! He just woke up crying now and found him on his stomach! But obviously he wanted to get out of that position. That’s good to know your boy can sleep on his stomach.

@Div 430am is the coldest part of the night so it could be related (or not! 😜). What temp do you have the room? What is baby wearing to bed?

he doesn't always like being in his tummy! Eventually he gives in haha but initially he's like "I need help rolling!" Then "I hate being on my tummy even though I wanted to be here!"
