Can’t get appointment till 18th October with dentist and my bottom front tooth feels like so much pressure inside it, paracetmol only dulls the pain for up to an hour and even eating rice crispies is causing pain. Anyone any advice on what I can use on it till I get seen in 2 weeks that’s experienced similar please 🙏. Strange feeling as although painful it seems to be more pressure and no throbbing pain, if I touch it or bite into something (even a soft slice of bread) it just feels like an intense pressure x

Make sure to floss daily, brush your teeth etc - gum disease is common in pregnancy! Once you get this sorted out, make sure to take extremely good care of your teeth. Good luck!! xxx

Salt water rinse to keep things clean? It’s the worst when you’re pregnant and can’t take any pain medication 😭 I’ve had 3 impacted and infected wisdom teeth so completely understand how horrible it is. Maybe keep calling up for cancellations to see if you can get in earlier? X

Thanks I do all that already and floss after breakfast lunch and dinner, only thing I don’t do is use a mouthwash because not sure if I can use the chlorhexadine as can’t find much info about it in pregnancy online, someone recommended a mouthwash on someone else’s previous post suitable for pregnancy but never heard of it and can’t find it anywhere…..is there any that u know off ? X

I have had the worst teeth each pregnancy. I know if you can get your hands on clove oil it's a natural pain reliever and just dilate it with a bit of coconut oil or olive oil. Soak a cotton pads in it and put it on there. Has antibacterial properties in it also.

Thank you will try that x

Thanks will call tomorrow morning and keep trying for cancellation. My gum isn’t sore but the tooth is and i honestly feel like punching my tooth out 😂 x

Ring them and tell them that you are pregnant and that you are concerned and seek an emergency appointment instead
