Did you feel the ‘ring of fire’ ?

I had 2 unmedicated births and didn't feel the ring of fire either time. I've been told it can depend on what position you push in and how hard/when you push. Some people force themselves to push out of time with contractions and that can make you more likely to feel it. No idea how true that is but that's what I've heard

I didn’t feel it with no pain meds I’m surprised because I had a lot of pretty bad tearing lol

Yes 🔥, found it worse than the contractions - but thankfully only lasted a few seconds (I had zero pain relief)

Very much so with my second (had an episiotomy with my first so had local anaesthetic), thought I was gonna be torn in two! But only ended up with a graze :) pretty excruciating though I can't lie, but only for a few moments x

Even with the epidural, I felt it. And screamed, "WHAT IS THAT?" At the top of my lungs. 🙃😅

Yep, thank you epidural for wearing off just in time for that special moment 😅

Omg yes! I felt it, mostly with my first baby

Yes both unmedicated births and YES as soon as it happened I knew exactly what it was. Worst with the first though and I didn’t tear on that one.

Yes! Literally like your vagina is on fire 🙈 my little one was born in the pool, 9Ib with no medical pain relief, I didn’t tear but panted quite a lot whilst he was crowing to prevent the tearing, but was very hard when I just wanted him out, lasted about 30 seconds but felt like 10 minutes 🤣
