What are your babies sleeping in?

What are you babies sleeping in atm? Our heating is on now on an evening so the rooms about 20 degrees when she goes to bed but drops in the night. She's in a long sleeve vest, sleepsuit (with hands turned over to keep them warm) and a 2.5tog bag and I'm still worrying about her being cold! She's woken up more often in the nifht over the last week and I was wondering if that was why. I can't put a blanket over though because she's already in the "wants everything in her mouth" stage and if she wakes up she'll just grab it and pull it over her face to chew it šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø and I being over worried?

We’ve started to use these in cooler nights. Will add an extra layer underneath in winter.

My bedroom is about 20 degrees and my boy just sleeps in a vest long sleeve sleep suit and 1.5tog sleep bag. When she wakes do you feel her chest? Babies are better cooler than over heating. Xx

@Becky not her chest to be fair no, her arms and hands are always freezing. She's a small baby, born less than 5lb and she's not very chubby so I always worry that she's a colder baby šŸ˜…

Hands will always feel cold for a baby always monitor temp from there chest or back that’s where you can tell. If clammy there too hot etc. there’s lots of guides online for how to dress them il send on to see if it helps xx

I use exactly the same as at the moment too 😊

We do long sleeve vest and 2.5tog sleep bag. I went and bought some vests from marks and Spencer’s as they have the ones with the built in mits as I noticed his hands were always freezing!

Our bedroom is 20-22 degrees and she’s in a babygrow and a 1tog sleep bag still.
We tried a 2.5 with a long sleeved vest and she kept waking in the night we put it down to her being too warm.

It looks like I'm definitely being paranoid then šŸ˜‚ my sister and mum are always telling me they babies are always cold and it got in my head haha

Just a babygrow and 1.5tog sleep bag at the moment. It’s only October I don’t want to go too early with the layers otherwise god knows what we’ll do in January when it’s actually cold šŸ˜…

wow you’re a star! I’ve been getting so wound up about vests not having mitts as we’ve been putting my son in just a sleepsuit (purely to cover his hands!) and then his 2.5 tog but I’ve always felt a bit conscious that his legs might get too warm. I didn’t realise we could even get vests with mitts šŸ˜‚ thank you!

I only happened upon one that was a hand me down - realised it had them and checked where it was from! I got a pack of 5 for 13.50 the other day and a pack of 3 for 9 quid! They’ve been a godsend and no more ice cold hands!

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? šŸ˜…

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤔

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
