Been weaning baby for over a month now and he’s still soo reluctant to open he’s mouth to take food, there are times that I manage to get a spoonful in and he’ll swallow some and other times, he just spits it all out!
I usually offer food twice a day, breakfast and late lunch.
He has tried a range of fruits and veggies, home made purées, pouches, porridge and weetabix but it just feel like a waste of time everyday and I’m starting to feel like I’m doing something wrong.
Advice please xx

Have you tried finger foods so he can feed himself? Solid starts on Instagram have a guide on what to do for baby food refusal :)

Following as we're in the same boat! He does seem to be more interested in finger foods over being spoon fed though

My LO will only take purées if she is distracted by something else, otherwise she gets bored. I’ve given her a toy to play with (which was a failure because she was “eating” it instead of the food), a plate of water so she could play (the best idea so far). Someone suggested a spinner, but I haven’t tried that one yet.
I find that finger foods ar easier to get her interest in, but she won’t eat much.
thank you for sharing this. We have dabbled a little bit with finger foods. My little one also seems more interested in feeding himself, we’ve tried a couple of finger foods however I’m super nervous about the risk of choking 🫣 so was just hoping he’d take to some purées 😅 xx

Same. I have to distract him with one of those spinner toys that stick to the highchair 🤣 He only really eats porridge for breakfast but it's timing it so he is a little bit hungry for it. I've done it 1hr after his morning bottle and he doesn't eat much but if I wait till after his morning nap he eats a bit more..
I do try him with bits of baby Led in between like toast and Cucumber etc but he barely eats anything so I would rather spoon feed porridge and purees too so at least I know he's going to eat something fully x
