So LO has been going to nursery since may time, and I’m curious how your LOs react when they see you? My LG has absolutely no facial expression when she sees me. Often she’s actually cried when I’ve collected her as she’s being handed over?! She’s glued to me and my little best friend otherwise though so it baffles me? Dad doesn’t do drop offs/pick up as he works over these times so has always been me, but I’m unsure why she’s never happy to see me, even slightly? Is anyone else in the same boat? I don’t want nursery to think bad of it when I see how other kids are when they’re picked up!🥴

Ours usually cries when we pick her up. We think she's just emotional/relieved when she sees either of us after several hours of separation:)

You know sometimes children will "act good" for other people and when they see their primary caregiver they let it all out because you're their comfort.

My LB has no expression at all sometimes and then other times we get a little smile but that’s it. I always drop him off in the morning but me and his dad will pick him up together. If he’s handed over to dad then he’s fine and all smiles but if he’s handed to me he cries. I’ve just put it down to him being a daddy’s boy and try not to take any offence

My lg also use to cry (emotional one, not that she wants to stay there )when I pick her up but now she gets very happy and excited.
