Please comment with foods you give your baby and what size you cut them up into. Pictures would be awesome! I'm stressed, I break everything up into dime sizes for our baby, maybe slightly bigger. My husband will argue with me and he just stuck half of a large black olive in our babies mouth and I freaked out a bit. I would say that's too big, but she chewed it fine with her gums and front teeth coming in so I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or if he's not being cautious enough.

Ok so does she have teeth?

I do almost everything bite sized for my 10 month old because I’ve heard they need it that way to work on their pincer grasp.
She has two bottom front teeth and her two top just came through. She's almost 11 months.

But I do understand your concern! Even now my baby would sometimes gag on food (she gagged on a ravioli like a month ago) its normal and they learn how to spit up food, its a learning process for them, sometimes my hubby is still scared to give her some grapes! I have to cut it and peel it 😩

Try an app like BLW or Solid Starts. It shows how to cut things by age!

My 10 month old still has no teeth. He has almost mimicked his sister by chewing. Not sure if he’s actually doing it or not lol. I do finger nail size bites. So nothing bigger than my finger nail. He has never gagged or choked. Unless he doesn’t like something then he will be very dramatic and gag and spit it out.
