How to sleep later in the mornings!

So baby is waking at 6am pretty consistently. And as far as the internet is concerned, that is normal! I've tried putting her to bed later, earlier, dream feed, no luck. I think it is what it is and I am SOL, but I was just wondering if any of you had successfully gotten your babe to sleep in later after consistently waking in the 6am hour? I'm not asking for much, going past 7am would be nice, haha!

My babe wakes up early too usually 615/630
When he wakes up I give him toys and he plays for almost 30 min by himself

@Vanessa she will actually sit in her crib in the dark and talk to herself for at least 20-30 minutes, haha. She's super happy about it!

I have a crib attatched to my bed and I just let her sit and play with toys for 30 minutes and then if she gets fussy I’ll nurse her and then she’ll play again. Sometimes I’ll put on ms rachel and she’ll keep her occupied for 20 minutes but that’s the only time she watches any screens. Emergencies only😂 this way I spend an extra hour in bed trying to wake up or sleeping for an extra 30 minutes

The order of nap length can also help. I read somewhere that if the first nap is the shortest then it slowly trains baby to not wake up so early because they need more night time sleep to get thru to their second and longest nap

If the 3rd nap is short I’ve noticed personally that it makes baby overtired and not sleep as well during the night. Whenever she wakes up frequently during the night from being over tired she wakes up earlier because she didn’t get that long restful sleep in the beginning of the night

So basically what her naps have looked like on those good days were 40 minutes 1.5-2 hours and then 40 minutes. Try to keep her up for at least 1.75 hours in the first wake window so she’s not going to continue the earlier wake up. This helps not confirm that waking up early is normal for her

I, too, have tried everything. My boy wakes up around 6am no matter what. 6:30 if I'm lucky, 5:30 if I'm not 🙃

My 6 month old boy does the same thing. I just change him, feed him, if he wants to play a little, I gently play with him, I tuck him back in when he is quiet and calm and he goes right back to sleep.

If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Silver cross pushchair

Has anybody had experience with the sliver cross cove or breeze? Me and my partner can’t make an agreement 😅 I like the cove but is it worth the extra money to the breeze?
