Is anyone on the other side of the 4 month sleep regression?

My baby was an amazing sleeper. Up until 3.5 months she would sleep through the night and would wake up once every week or 10 days at 3 or 4 am. Since then (now 4.5 months) it’s once or twice per night and it takes FOREVER to get her back to sleep. Does it ever get better? I love her so much but also this is truly affecting my mental health.
I am hoping to be able to get through this without sleep training. Does it ever go back to normal? I do let her self soothe when she wakes up, sometimes she’ll fall right back to sleep but if she starts crying properly I do pick her up. Am I setting her up for failure?

PS- I get that is not a regression per se but a developmental leap. I use the term regression as it’s the way it’s generally referred to. I’m sleep deprived and not in the mood for obvious clarifications.

We just came out of it last week (knocks on wood). I will say ours was not TERRIBLE. She went from sleeping 12+ hours through the night to waking at 10-11 hours screaming. And a few nights she had a middle of the night wake that we were able to just put a pacifier in her mouth for. The worst part for us was naps which she would fight and SCREAM to go down and then wake up after 8 to 15 minutes. This past week she is back to sleeping 12+ hours at night and napping for about 30-40 mins at a time and sometimes I can even lay her down with out a drawn out rocking process. It was soooo frustrating but IT WILL GET BETTER! ♥️

how long did it take? And was it sudden that she did or started getting better little by little?

ours also started with naps and I thought that was it. Then night wakings started happening. It’s exhausting.

It was literally one night she was waking every 3 hours as she had been during the leap then the next night slept all night again!! Bliss! 🤣🤣🤣

I hope this comes to us soon! Thoughts and prayers 😅

I safely cosleep, so if any of my kids experienced this, I wasn't aware 😂🤷🏾‍♀️

A lot of bed sharing/co sleeping babies wake up and go through this. You are one lucky mama! Your baby perhaps wouldn’t wake up even if sleeping in a crib.

I hope it gets better for all of us!

Quite possibly. It's amazing how all babies are indeed different. I hope you will see the end of this leap soon.

I wasn't insinuating that cosleeping would combat/stop this leap as all babies go through it. How it is handled and how long it lasts are the differences.

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!
