Maternity allowance

Week 6 now, still waiting. I’m now on maternity leave due to some health problems and my job being so active. A bit daunting siting around just waiting. Called the helpline & they said I’ve to wait the 4 weeks for a decision since they text me to day they received my claim. That was almost 3 weeks ago. This is just so so so long and stressful.
How long did you hear back about your maternity allowance?

I heard back with a decision on about 2 weeks but can’t submit a date to start receiving payments until I’ve actually stopped working which is really frustrating.

2 weeks is so good!! I’m pulling out my hair. I put down my day of maternity leave at start of October. So they know I’m already on leave as well 😭

I sent mine off yesterday. Due to start my Mat leave on Nov 6th… I wonder how long I have to wait? 6 weeks till take me up to birth, or beyond actually. So will I not get any money until then? 🥺

some people are getting their decision within a few weeks, some are taking way longer so it’s hard to say. They backdate from the day you start your leave though so you won’t miss out on any money, you just might get it late xx

I sent mine off two weeks ago and haven’t got any response to even say they’ve received it yet….. the lady I spoke to when I first called was lovely and did say it could take a while with it all being postal so hopefully not too much longer c

It’s her fault for not taking their morning after pill.
He tells her straight up that he’s not going to be involved and that she should terminate it.
She says that she won’t terminate and she hopes that he does stick around

So she deliberately gets pregnant, basically traps him
