Hot tubs

Hi ladies,
In need of some advise. My partner and I have a lodge with a hot tub booked next week. The guidelines of using hot tubs are unclear when researching. I will be almost 18 weeks by the time we go.
Some websites say staying in for less than 10 minutes is fine, some say it’s not okay some day after first trimester there is no risk for baby.
some advice would help x

I personally wouldn’t use one but it’s up to you. You could ask your midwife for advice.

Hmm I think for me it wouldn’t be worth the risk but I think my friend did the ten minute in and out thing. Personally I’d just get annoyed and not find that as relaxing lol

The NHS states to avoid them.I think some of them have temperature control, so if it was a low enough temp you could maybe sit in, but without the jets I think 🤔
As others have said I personally would risk it, and for the sake if 10 mins and back out seems a bit much hassle. I guess you could always sit on the edge with your feet/legs in if you wanted to chill with your partner?

I went in one when I was pregnant but at a lower temperature and only went in for a short amount of time x

I had a hottub weekend booked and found out I was pregnant, was too late to cancel so went but sat on the side with my feet in. Went in for short periods of time with the jets off. If you go just be careful of your temperature, not to get too warm. Take breaks and drink plenty water. My midwife said that was fine at the time, I was very careful and felt fine, baby was fine and had a lovely weekend x

I remember reading that you can’t use in the first trimester but not sure about the second, I went in my third but just used for under ten minutes at a time and made sure to stay hydrated and keep a good length of time between xx

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
