V/q scan while pregnant?

I've had a similar issue, but with a CTPA, they should be able to tell you the risk to you aswell as the baby. I won't have the ctpa because the risk to baby is 1/1000 but the risk to me in 1/10 as especially your breast tissue is a danger zone

They won't do anything now until baby arrives. Ask for more Info

@Charlotte the ctpa increases the risk of breast cancer by 13% above background. So if background is 14% it increases it to 16% if that makes sense.

I had that done but the risk is extremely low whilst the risk to the mother of you have a clot is higher , luckily found out I didn’t have a clot but was admitted and they were getting worried

For me they also didn’t do all the parts they didn’t do the gas section only the injection to reduce the amount of radiation I was exposed to and baby

I’m had that just last week. Was told it was completely safe for baby and that they do it in pregnant women all the time, didn’t realise there was even a possibility of increased risk of childhood cancer

I had that dw, it's not that bad at all. Also the solution isn't radioactive, the contrast dye is high in iodine and they just do a blood test on baby to check thyroid cos there's a theory that potentially it has risk to baby. Pls don't worry, I would have it again and so far my baby is fine :)

It just feels like you want to wee yourself when the dye goes in though , but I promise you won't wee ! Lol
