No this is council housing. I filled out the application back in 2020

They called you 3 years later about a application you put in in 2020…?

Yes the council housing list is very long and takes ages to get round to which is why I am so happy I finally got contacted!

It doesn’t take 3 years after making an application for them to get in contact with you I’d put in a complaint.

Crikey where do you live? It's taken them 3 years to acknowledge you've asked for housing? You've not heard from them before to least let you know they've received your application?

Have you been bidding? Have you been logging in weekly?
If not then they will be trying to ask if you still need somewhere or not x

There are no flats or houses to bid for atm. The way it works in my county is you sign up for the council and depending on your level of priority, you get placed or may not. It is known to have to wait a several years to be placed which is why a lot of people end up lying about things to get placed sooner. This is Hounslow btw

Not how it works at all you’ve got it all wrong you put in a application they accept it they have 56 days to give you a decision on weather they are accepting you or not must be in writing once they do that you’ll get a bidding number so you can bit no where in England takes 3 years I’ve been on the bidding list after being accepted could be bidding for up to 10 years after putting in a application and getting feed back and I’m pretty sure everyone including me if from this country and know how it works and I can tell you it’s not how it works.

@Drew Yes it doesn't sound right to me. My friend is in temporary accommodation just a bedsit with a child and he's been told it's a 7 year wait. He's bidding and has been since being accepted as homeless but still coming over 100 on the list

No. We are a family of 3 and are expecting another child in December and only have 1 bedroom for us and share with 5 other people in the house. I have been given Band 3, so low priority.
