Membrane sweep?

Totally for it! I tried to get one yesterday when I turned 40 weeks but I wasn’t dilated so I couldn’t 😩 I was offered a cervical check and possible membrane sweep at 39 weeks but I waited until 40.

My midwife said there’s a slight risk of breaking my water when it happens but if it does, labor wasn’t far anyway and it was meant to break.

Against it this time round. Baby and body will do its thing when it's ready :)
My 1st pregnancy they tried at 40 weeks and I was still too tight and closed up and it just made me more anxious and depressed I wasn't close.
If you've had one and went into labour I believe it's just lucky timing.

I had one and went into labor the same night. So I loved it. it wasn’t even that painful just uncomfortable

I had 2 done with my pregnancy and neither of them worked for me unfortunately even though I was already dilated.

Had one this morning (39w3d) in hopes of going into labor before my induction Friday. I was 2cm.

So far just losing bits of mucus plug

I had one today. I am 38 weeks pregnant, 1 cm dilated, but my cervix is still thick and long, so no effaced. That’s why my doctor suggested we did a membrane sweep today and I agreed. She said that it normally puts you in labor up to 48 h after, but since my cervix isn’t effaced, she explained that it most likely WONT put me it labor this week, but just help me keep progressing naturally. Next week she plans on doing another sweep and she believes that’s the one that will put me on labor since that’s how it normally goes

I was going to get one on Thursday (38+5) because my doctor is going on vacation soon after. It's not very invasive, and I don't think there are many risks so I was okay with it. Baby had other plans though. I'm in labor

I'm 40 weeks and wanting one but at my last visit I wasn't dilated enough. Hoping if baby doesn't come by Thursday we can do a sweep then. 🤞
