anyone else feel like a shit mum?

i feel like i’m a shit mum.

- I dont take my baby to many if any baby groups, and when i have i come away feeling like i’m letting him down because no one talks to us.

- I struggle to keep patient when he cries which has been A LOT lately

- I’m SO anxious something is going to happen to him i feel like i’m holding us both back

- My knees are fucked, so i struggle to play wirh him on the floor

- I feel like alls i say to him is ‘no’.

- my husband says im spoiling the baby because i wonr leave him to forcefully cry (which again has been a lot lately especially at bed time)

i see so many mums doing so many amazing things with their babies, they never seem stressed or at their wits end. they appear as though they are able to treasure all the moments. im not enjoying myself right now. im exhausted from no sleep, Im definitely depressed. Im anxious and just over all lonely. so yeah, thats it. i feel like a shit mum. im struggling & dont know how to help myself

I could have written this myself. I’m really struggling with am I doing enough with him during the day, am I feeding him enough, his sleep is currently all over the place because of his teeth and regression and I feel like I’m somehow making it worse and letting him down. I’m just so overwhelmed at the moment.

That said I stand strong with not letting my little boy cry anything out, if he needs me I’m there.

I think most mums are struggling somewhere, bringing up a child (or more than one) is hard and most people don’t talk about how hard it is. Have you spoken to anyone? GP about being depressed? I can’t go on any medication to help but I’ve reached out. Also I just wanna say those parents who are worrying they’re not good enough at the ones that care the most, you want to be the best for your baby and that’s amazing ❤️

Sending love ❤️

I feel the same. Although I I’ll leave bin to cry to go to sleep. It’s not that you are spoiling him (well kinda) but it helps them learn to regulate their own emotions. (But don’t let them cry for more then 10 minutes).
But other then that I know exactly how you feel. I constantly feel like a shitty mom. And the fact I am home all day at work and my mom has him makes me feel even worse because he is more bonded to her now. I am anxious and depressed and I can’t handle his crying. I get mad easy.
I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. But I lost my insurance to do anything about it.
Have you talked to a do or about getting help?

I am really sorry you are going through that situation. Many women feel like that, mainly when we become moms for the first time. Like you, I felt overwhelmed and exhausted most of the time. Sleep deprivation do not help at all. Sometimes that takes away our ability to enjoy our babies which is really sad, because that time will pass fast and they won't be babies anymore, and also, because you will have that sensation you are feeling now that you are not doing things right. I would tell you, please, talk to someone. Look for help, ask your doctor if you feel depressed. They can get you help. Also, there are many groups (pods) here in peanuts that you can join, vent, pray with other women or simply just talk, whatever make you feel better, but don't isolate yourself.
Try to learn about babies wake windows, that can help you with the sleep issues.
You can reach out if you want to talk.
Sending you hugs 🤍

Useless partner.. what do I do at this point!🫩

So in my whole pregnancy my partner wasn’t supportive, useless and basically neglected me. It’s got WORSE post partum.. how is this possible?? He helped the first week or so but ever since He hasn’t looked after me at all, left me to do everything as per like all the house work, nappy changes bottles I have to wake him up to help and then he falls back to sleep snd ignores me. When he does do something it takes hours for one little task,
all he tells me is how tired he is

I had stitches down there so I can’t lift anything for 6 weeks either, the house is becoming messy because he won’t help run the hoover over aswell or move heavy things etc Everything’s “I’ll do it in a minute “ I’m being called everything under the sun when I call him out on his behavior and then he just constantly walks out because he can’t handle it.. even in general he’s in the toliet for over half an hour or he’s outside vaping. I can’t back being with an immature guy anymore.. I’ve spoken to him a million times nothing changes, I also have all the financial responsibility as he has no money atm cos he was off work on paternity, I’m so sick of arguing I have tried to end the relationship every single day and it’s like he won’t let me!! I feel like a single mum
What do I do! Thoughts?

Would you find that weird?

So I was telling my older sister that my friend is talking to my husbands brother and my sister was like “oh yeah they both look alike and they’re both good looking ”.

Meaning my husband and his brother are both attractive. Why did she need to mention my husband?

First birthday

Hi all, I've started shopping around for some bits for my little boys first birthday. Would just love to hear if there any toys your little one absolutely loves that would be worth looking at?

Also anyone that bought any soft play blocks for climbing etc would you say they're worth it?

For context he is in a rush to do everything, only 8 months and already crawling/pulling up to stand/trying to climb on everything, so definitely a very active little man!

Thanks 💗

New SAHM having issues relating

I’m having the best time the 1st year of motherhood and I cannot relate to 95% of other moms to the point it’s making it hard for me to make new mom friends. I used to work 60-80 hours in corporate finance so this is the lowest stress I’ve had in years. I basically spend my days outside exercising with my baby and doing a ton of stuff like farmers markets, swim lessons, playgrounds, street festivals, museums, restaurants, baseball games. We are very clean and organized but we live in an apartment so it only takes me about an hour a day and a 2 hour deep clean every Sunday to keep our home together. I’ve worked hard exercising the last few years to lose about 40lbs so I also feel great physically. Many moms I meet instantly ask me if I’m also “lonely at home” or how I feel about new body and I feel like no matter what I say, it makes me sound like an asshole. I really want to encourage them to come outside with me but they immediately say it’s too hard. I think I just need to work harder to find some moms who are doing the same things I am, but I also feel guilt essentially not wanting to be friends with nice people who are having a hard time adjusting. I want to make some new mom friends because I’m also not relating to old my friends because most of them don’t have kids. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hey I just need help with what I'm going to do with my boyfriend

he’s not showing me attention anymore. He said he’s busy. He’s just not putting an effort anymore and I don’t know what to do and I shouldn’t have the beg for his attention. What should I do?
