Any babies transition to 1 nap already?

If your baby is 1 or approaching 1. Have they transitioned to 1 nap? If so what signs, or things made you decide on the transition and how did you do it?

My son is only taking one nap a day. He would sleep for 2-3 hours and which meant there would be no other nap. So I went with it and allowed him to sleep longer for his nap time. It was rough at first on me because I was used to multiple naps throughout the day. I also used this to sleep train him, so he goes down easy for nap time.

My girl is 1 and she still needs the 2 naps a day. She’ll be pretty fussy if we go past her nap times. If she’s not tired, she’ll sometimes just sit by herself in her crib and seems to enjoy the alone time.

I thought my son was ready for the 1 nap schedule because he was refusing his morning nap for about a week. He had all the signs of that 2 down to 1 nap transition. So I let him stay up and he caved in after 3.25 hrs lol. It turns out that he still needs the 2 naps but just longer wake windows. Everyone talks about going down to 1 nap but forgets talking about discussing trying longer wake windows first before eliminating the nap all together.

@Sophia how do you do that with still having an early bedtime? Bedtime is the worst for us and I'm trying to find out what is causing it

Yep. 1 nap. Usually at 2pm for 2 hrs.

she’s flip flopping right now, 70% of the time is 2 naps .. she would skip her first nap sometimes but she’s not completely ready because she still has about 30/45 minutes of wake time I can add to her day before she can drop to one nap for good

From 9months until 1 year old he didn’t take but maybe 1 nap a day and would play; he is full of energy but now he takes 2 sometimes 3 naps

So the one nap wasn’t really my choice. She gets a nap at school after lunch and sleeps anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 hours. She’ll take a short nap if she’s super tired on our ride home from school she’s only been on that schedule for one week so if she does nap closer to bedtime it’s for like 30 minutes to an hour and I wake her up intentionally. Otherwise, we’d be up all night with me struggling to stay awake lol.

Do what you feel is best for your baby. On the weekends, we are doing two shorter naps.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

I feel like just a milk cow

Hi I have a 16 day old via c section, I'm a FTM never having been around babies before as I am the youngest of my household and from a small family. My husband is fantastic with our little one. But ever since I've had the baby I just feel like the only thing I'm good for is producing milk. I feel disconnected from my husband like the only reason he's around is because am producing milk. We were having some issues before the baby and we're struggling it took a while to feel like he was onboard even though he said he was from the moment we found out. I dunno if I'm feeling like a spear part because I'm lacking confidence with baby or because I feel like he wouldn't mind being a single dad. Is this postpartum hormones or something else?

How long did it take for your child’s circumcision to heal and you could give him a bath?

I’ve just been wiping him down with a fiber wash cloth but I just wanted to know from others experience on how long it took
