Have any of y’all had postpartum depression?
I feel like I have it, but I’m on anti depression medication for it, but I don’t think it’s working.
I cry over the stupidest things.
I also feel like me and my fiancé don’t have the connection we used to have. Does anyone have suggestions for me? Anything helps, with any of the situations I’m going through.
I think the main reason I’m feeling like this is bc where I think me and and my finance are slowly growing apart.
A little insight: he works a 3rd shift job 6 days a week, so we only actually sleep together 1 night a week and he sleeps 90% of the day before going to work. We used to be SOOOO close, even with him working thirds. But ever since I got pregnant… all that has changed, drastically. I have pictures of the fun times we had together on my wall at the end of our bed, I catch myself staring at them every night… it makes me even more sad.
I’ve tried to tell him that I miss what we had, and he’s like “I know, me to”
But I want to still be in love with him, not his phone. I don’t want to loose him, but like I said… I feel us slowly falling apart. Idk what to do. Please help.

Oh, I wish I could give you a hug!! My anxiety was BAD the first 7 weeks or so and I have been on an antidepressant for years. The hormones really mess up our emotions. It is soo normal to feel like you are drifting apart because having a baby is a huge life change & new roles for you both. Is there anyway you can have more date nights to spend more time together? Maybe he can wake up early and you guys could fix dinner together or just do something to spend a little time together

First off I think communication is gonna be big here, find out what you need and let him know how you feel and come up with an action plan. What are ways you can deepen your connection with each other, how can he make you feel loved each day? Try to prioritize quality time with no phones( I know it’s hard with conflicting schedules and a new baby and idk if you have a village who is willing to help) date nights, there’s a lot of at home date ideas you can do as well. If you get the baby on an early bedtime you guys could have dinner together and some quality time before he leaves for work

I am going through the same thing and I understand that it is very difficult, what happens to me is that I feel like a bad mother and a bad wife. My husband has noticed my change in that I get irritated easily and cry about everything, today we sat down to talk and I feel a little better. I advise you to find a moment to talk to your partner and tell them how you feel and find solutions to be together and share this new stage of your lives. I send you a big hug, everything is going to get better, if you believe in God, pray and that will help you too. You are brave and you can handle this.
