I’ve had the worst pregnancy ever. My health has been horrible since the beginning and this has effected my mental health also. I wish I was one of those women that enjoyed my journey and will miss being pregnant but I’m not. I hate pregnancy and I’m over it. Being unstable in life, in my living situation and all sorts doesn’t help make it easier either. I’m excited to be mum and start mothering but I’m also scared that baby’s arrival may set me back or make things worse. Tired of hearing “it will all be over soon” “it will all be worth it when baby gets here” how does anyone know for sure. On top of everything else my partner decided to cheat on me whilst pregnant and I hate him for it. We have an amazing relationship and he has been great during the pregnancy and extremely supportive so I thought but I question all of that now since finding out he’s cheated on me during the most vulnerable time of my life. He obviously seems remorseful and wants us to be a family blah blah blah but I don’t think I can ever trust him again or forgive him. How do I know he’s not just fighting for a family unit and won’t do it again. I just never expected this from him whilst carrying his child and being the closest one to me knowing exactly what I’m going through and it hurts on top of everything else I’ve been through this is how he wants to end the last few weeks of the pregnancy. I love him and know although it’s a dickhead move he’s not the worst person in my life but I don’t even have the mental capacity to deal with that side yet. I’ve never felt so alone and vulnerable in my whole life and I’m a strong ass no shit kinda woman… well before pregnancy. I just want to let it out and vent and see if anyone can relate or hear others opinions as I can’t tell anyone I know personally. It’s eating me up.

Oh darling I’m so sorry you are feeling this way. He has to make this up to you now and support you throughout this pregnancy, however that looks for you, on your terms. My mh has been the same, your not alone, maybe check with your hospital to see what mh support they can give you? I am with UCH and they have been great with mh perinatal support. Take each day as it comes, try and exercise (go for walks or try and be active as that helps) and middle finger up to anyone who says it will be over soon because your feelings are valid now and if your not enjoying it then let it be known! Just do what you can to get through each day with self care x
thank you soo much, you don’t know how much this means.

Anytime girl you’ve got this your going to be absolutely fine x trust in yourself you have the answers within

I wentthrough the exact thing had a terrible pregnancy in and out of a n e every weekend with constant uti...the heathcare and appointment services was below par borderline non xistent and uninterested. My ex did also cheat ...I was upset but I also kinda came to terms with it because I wasn't having sex during my pregnancy and I've read alot that some men tend to cheat during this time because their needs are not met ...DONT MAKE IT RIGHT BUT I UNDERSTOOD... I was so fed up with it all I elected for a c section which I kind of regret now as I've always wanted to give birth naturally foe the experience. Your right it doesn't get easier your the gonna be sleep deprived and overhelmed and excited when baby comes and begin that journey which for me the first 12weeks was tough...then the testing stage followed by weaning... pregnancy and having a baby isn't described correctly at all. I've realised that the media or people just highlight the good parts when their is so much challenges also...

But to make it more positive I'd say just take it daily and do what you can at your own pace and try not let outside things get to you...your gonna need the strength for yourself and baby...
It's a whole another life and lifestyle change so I would say talk to your partner and express your pain and hurt and concerns and see if you guys can work it out. If not its not meant to be and that's also OK...you can co parent ...it doesn't get any easier you just have to learn how to adapt to an ongoing ever changing situations
thank you soo much for replying it means a lot. Wish I had the courage to dm you personally too. It’s all too much and I’m soo jealous of ppl that enjoy their pregnancy or say they miss it. I studied midwifery in uni and never practiced but no matter how much knowledge you have, nothing prepares you for this thing called pregnancy it’s a wild experience, mentally, emotionally, physically and even financially. It can drain you.
