It’s so crazy to me that this post popped up on my notifications because only two days ago my 18 month old son was running in a parking lot and fell right on his face and scratched up his nose so bad. It’s definitely hard to deal with and did make me feel bad but I don’t want to be a helicopter parent and force him to not run. I also feel like I’ve been getting dirty looks when people see his face in public. Definitely can’t wait for mine to get his balance too lol

Mine is crazy. He purposefully throws himself on the ground. I’m always finding a boo boo somewhere. I asked the doc about it because he keeps hitting his head… doc didn’t seem to worried unless he was showing symptoms of injury (dizziness, etc) 🤷🏻♀️

yeah i am definitely not a helicopter mom. Worst thing is he seems to get hurt more when he is right next to us. Playing at the park with big kids while I sit on a park bench? Totally fine- never hurt. Running around in nature with other little friends at a huge distance from me? He never gets hurt. Running right next to me on a sidewalk? Boo boo.

our doctor tried to comfort me by saying that they like to see boo boos because it means the kids are active and playing outside. It was comforting until the next day when he fell on his face…

My daughter is the Same age and is very clumsy. Always falling and hitting her head.
