So we had a lovely 7.30pm-7am sleeper from 2months-8months then all hell broke lose. I don’t know if it was teething, separation anxiety, feeling under the weather or what but her sleep went to shit. False starts, multiple night wakings every few hours, some where she would only settle with a bottle.
I go back to work in January and I will be getting up at 5.30am so I can’t be having my baby waking at 9pm,11pm, 1am-3am like she has been….otherwise I won’t function at work.
I have been considering doing some sort of sleep training or hiring a sleep consultant but unsure if it’s a waste of money?
Has anyone been through the same? What did you do???? Help!!

I'm afraid we're all in the same boat. My little boy hasn't slept since he turned 8 months. I am sure it will be a phase. I haven't reached the point to use a sleep consultant as I think they will grow out of everything they go through but hey, let me know if you use one and it works!

Not me, but a friend used one and went from multiple night wakings (4 or 5) to 1 in a few weeks. Their biggest change was breaking her sons association with feeding and sleep. They didn’t do any leaving the room and letting him cry and she said the consultant only got them to do what they were comfortable with as far as crying etc. It cost them £300 but they are very happy with that given where they got to. Xx

Considering it too. Again, a good sleep from 3-7.5m. The odd night sleeping through but often 1-2 awakenings and that’s 8-6:30am.
