Any suggestions or advice regarding my sons sleep as the 3:45am wake ups are becoming a bit of a killer now especially as I am also pregnant 😔
He is 13 months old and is still having 2 naps per day.
Due to his early wake ups, I try to stretch him as long as possible but he usually goes down for his first nap around 8:45 and will go anywhere between 1.5-2hours.
He’ll then have a second nap at around 2:15 and I try to limit this to just 40 mins.
He then goes to bed at 7pm - he falls asleep independently in his cot, so I know it’s not this.
He did start going to 4:45 but the last 4 mornings have been 3:45 and he’s wanting to get up ready for the day - obviously I can’t stretch him to 1 nap because he wakes so early and when we have tried this he wakes up for approx 3 hours in the night wide awake.
We have tried CIO but he just gets worse, tried rubbing his back, tapping his bum, have also tried milk and back to bed but nothing works!
Any helps or tips please 😫

Am in the same boat but mines 2.30 every morning am exhausted and also pregnant, trying to get her to sleep now but having no luck I could literally
Cry haha xx
it’s so hard, some days I can just about manage it but other days it really frustrates me! 😩

Just want to say solidarity, we’ve even like this on and off for weeks now. I cut down to one nap but then he’s ready for bed by 6/6.30 sometimes even earlier because of the early wake ups. It’s awful I feel so drained
how did you cut down to one nap? I try and stretch him as long as I can in the morning but realistically you can’t expect them to go like 9 hours to a lunch time nap and then what if they only sleep for an hour 😩 if we cut to one on the days where he’s been up most of the night he’ll just do the same, wake up at approx 1am and doesn’t go back to sleep until 4am! I feel like I can’t win either way. Xx

We did a sleep consultation a few months ago and was told to cap the first nap at 30mins as our daughter was using this to catch up on night sleep and so the nap almost become an extension of the night time. We then let her have 2 hours around 1pm after 30 mins at 9.30. It took a couple of days pushing wake windows but she slept so much better once it settled x
