Nighttime sleep

My boy is 5 months old and has never slept through the night, but until recently he was waking up 2-3 times a night for a feed (he’s EBF) and would go back to sleep straight after. Lately he’s been waking up pretty much every hour, which is exhausting. We’re co-sleeping and I don’t know how we would manage if we weren’t, but am also wondering if he’d wake up less if he was in his own room.
His naps are fine, there are 3 a day and they last 40-90 minutes.
I’ve attached a screenshot of last night’s feeds which shows how bad it can get 😭

Similar situation here! He wakes up a lot more and only settles on us / in bed cosleeping with me(!)

let’s hope this phase comes to an end soon!!

We’re exactly the same. Waking up all the time. Never going longer than 2 hours and only going 40 mins at staff if night

We’re the same so don’t worry it’s so normal! There’s so many times I put my little one down and she’s back awake in 30 minutes like you’ve shown there!
What I would say though is sometimes they’re fussing and crying but if they have a quiet moment straight after they’re usually trying to get back to sleep and you can leave them (but a lot of the time my little girl ends up waking herself up doing this, but she will go back to sleep on the odd occasion)
I would say if baby was in their own room it would be easier to see if they do go back to sleep on their own in their cot, whereas if they’re next to you they probably wake up more easily?

You can try for a few nights and then always have the option of going back to cosleeping if it’s too early for you both

This seems to be happening at the moment to lots of babies in the May 23 bump group including mine, I think they're all entering leap 5 😞 they will come through it and in the meantime thank god for bedsharing

On the one hand I’m sorry it’s happening to all of you as well but on the other hand I’m glad I’m not alone 😂 at least it’s not abnormal and we just have to remember that every phase will come to an end… Leap 4 was much worse (he wouldn’t nap during the day which was exhausting!) and that eventually came to an end!

We’ve just come out the other side and suddenly none of his clothes fit so I think it was a regression/ growth spurt

Same here
My LG did this for 3 weeks roughly, just couple days ago, started sleeping through the night with just one feed again.
She was also super grumpy during the day, cried more.
I think it was the 5 months leap.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.
