Why does he need to be waking 20-30 mins later, is it for a feed? Personally I would let my little girl sleep a bit longer as we don’t have any set times x

How long is he awake for and how long does he sleep for?
I’ would let him sleep, if he was to wake up after 20/30 mins he’d still be tired and then be even harder to get him to sleep so the cycle would continue

Baby will let you know when they’re hungry :) let them sleep

I mean if they have a routine/ when they are in a . Routine. For example he naps at 1:00 till 2:00 but he doesn’t go to sleep until 1:30 his missed half hour of his nap time which means he’s only been asleep for half an hour though usually he sleeps for an hour . Would I still wake him up at 2:00 or let him sleep till he’s ready to wake up other his other schedule sleep times are then disrupted as he’s waking later from his name causing him to have his 2nd nap later as he won’t have the propped
Length awake window for his next nap time x

Personally I wouldn't worry about a routine, they're so little. Let them sleep as long as they want, and then just shift their 'schedule' accordingly.

if you can be a bit flexible with it then definitely let him nap longer. My little ones wake windows vary throughout the day between 1-2 hours depending how she feels! What did you decide to do in the end and how did it go? x

I would just shift your schedule accordingly. If she's been on that schedule for a while it might be that she needs longer wake windows now, their schedules will be changing pretty regularly as they grow.

I would just work around him, my sons naps change times a bit during the day depending on when he woke up for the day/how stimulating the wake window was etc. The only "rule" I follow in terms of routine is 1.5 to 2hrs max wake windows usually as he's showing tired signs, and aim for minimum hour nap, everything else depends on the baby at this age really.

Don’t worry about following routines up to every minute, you will go crazy from overthinking don’t wake up if necessary just move bedtime a bit 🤷🏼♀️

Are they not sleeping because they're overtired or because they're not tired? They will start having longer wake windows, by baby only sleeps for 40ish mins now 3/4 times a day. 3 weeks ago he slept 1.5hrs 4/5 times a day. Just follow their cues, but their routine can change naturally
