How old it he lovely? How long have you been breastfeeding?
I’ve seen there’s silver nipple shields which you can get from Amazon and the reviews are really good.
I know it takes a little while to get into a routine, just know it won’t always be like this and it does get easier 🤍
he is 4 days old, same days I've been breastfeeding him

Oh congratulations honey 😊
Your milk will start to come in in the next day or so! They say day 3-5 that it does so it will get easier just hang on in there! Rest/sleep when he sleeps, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and eating well.
I hope you’re getting plenty of support!
Feel free to reach out to your midwife or health visitor too for advice. And remember YOU just grew and birthed a whole human, how amazing is that!!! You can do this girl, you’ve got this 🤍
And you can always send me a message if you wanna chat xx

I would speak to your midwife. They can help with the positioning and help with everything else.
My girl was feeding all through the night, it is probably cluster feeding which is what your baby does to tell you’re body to produce more milk
You’ve got this!!! Don’t give up x

The only thing I can say is it does get better! The first week of breastfeeding was super painful for me, but after 1 week / 10 days the pain went away and we’ve now been breastfeeding for over 3 weeks! It’s tough but you’re doing amazing!

Also like someone else said above, the silver nipple cups / silverettes are amazing to relieve sore nipples!

If it's very early days, it can take a little while for the nipple to 'toughen up'. 3-5 days before you milk starts to come in also, so a pump won't produce very much/only colostrum.
Cluster feeding is tough but especially when you are so exhausted after birth, but this is your baby's way of signalling your body to produce milk, so it's a very good thing! 🥰 even if it doesn't feel like it for you. Once your milk comes in it will start to settle. Also breastmilk is great for healing your own nipples too when it does eventually come through.
I've never tried, but I have heard lots of great reviews for the nipple cups so maybe worth a try!
Hold in there, it does get easier.
My biggest advice is give in to the cluster feeds, with lots of snacks and drinks, and a good programme to binge 🩷🩷

Definitely give it time, it gets better. My little one is 10 days today and no pain anymore at all. You got this!
