We have a 10 month old girl and I found out I’m pregnant again. I’m starting to get worried because we have a small house. All three of the bedrooms are small, one is my husbands office since he works from home which he really needs, one is our daughters and one is ours and it’s not the size of a master so we can barely fit a crib in our room. I’m just stressed out because I’m sure everyone is aware of how expensive everything is right now, it’ll be really hard for us to get a bigger home right now without breaking the bank. We’re already tight on cash as it is. My husband makes a good living but life has a lot of expenses obviously so it doesn’t even go that far. I’m mostly a stay at home mom, I just don’t know how we’re going to do this. Kids are so expensive and I’m not sure how so many people do this.

Get a mini crib or bassinet. Don't go with a full size crib, it'll last the baby awhile. My son co slept with me for a little bit and didn't like his bassinet and he's 10 months now still fits in the mini crib and he's in my room which is pretty small too. Mini cribs are decently priced. I didn't pay a lot for mine. If you'd like I can get the link as well I got it off of Amazon.

And get WIC if you can. If you don't already have it, once the baby starts on baby food you can get a lot from WIC around 6 months I believe. They also give you a lot of grocery stuff to get free with WIC for the mom the first six months once baby can start regular veggies and less baby food they give you free veggies to get

Also recommend the mini crib. We were in a one bedroom and it fit perfectly.

would that be an issue if my husband has a certain income?

A bedside bassinet for the first 6 months and a mini crib for however long you need it. Find as much as you can second hand or on buy nothing groups. Once upon a child has great deals on a lot of baby stuff and I recently saw like 3 mini cribs at our local one.
I'd prioritize bedrooms being for sleep and move any toys and things you can into places like the living room (adapt a toy rotation system to help minimize space taken up) and make the bedrooms just for sleeping so that it doesn't matter if it's a little cramped when they share.
Bigger isn't always better. Kids have shared rooms for ages and it doesn't negatively impact their development. There are tons of ways to minimize and save space.
My 9m old's stuff fits in one dresser. All her clothes, diapers, medical stuff, extra sheets, blankets. She has a mini crib and she probably has about 1 small box worth of toys. We skipped all the big baby furniture and all is well. We plan on trying for a second soon and will only be adding an extra mini crib.

I have a 10 month old and also pregnant due May 2024. We have a 2 bedroom townhouse but luckily the two bedrooms are big enough for room sharing. I do want to move though! But like you said in this economy it’s rough. I also agree with a bedside bassinet!
