I am suppose to have a scheduled section

Yet I want to Vbac!! Please give me helpful and I sight plus guidance ladies !! So some back history... I had 5 vaginal birth. Then is 2017 the doctors said they would break my baby's collar bone to get him out being that he was to big.. so I opted 4 a section. He was 7 lbs.. first mistake. Then 2021 real ER section was needed. The. 2023. Hospital set me up for failure. Induced broke water and potocin. Then 2hrs later said hospitals rule after 2 sections no VBAC and forced section. I was 6cm 97 effaced and broken waters. I was ready. So now they saying I can't go naturally anymore. HELLLPP I don't wanna get cut again!!! I'm a pro at pushing. 9 lbs baby in under 20 mins 4 pushes @ 35 weeks

I believe if you find the right provider, it's possible. I want to avoid going to the hospital this time out of trauma, but where I'm from you can't have vbacs at birthing centres, only at home or at the hospital. And there was only one midwife willing to take me on who is known as the queen of home vbacs in my city. But one thing she told me was to have at least 18months between cesearean birth and conception because otherwise the risk of rupture is too high and she wouldn't feel comfortable taking me on in that case. So I made sure I waited that long and then fell pregnant so I can do this right. How long has it been between your last pregnancy and this one?

Have a chat to different OBs and Midwives, but usually that's too soon between birth and conception to have a vbac since your body needs time to heal from such a huge surgery. Maybe you can aim to have a vbac with your next pregnancy and preplan so you have at least 18months between birth and conception. I'm not saying it's impossible during this pregnancy, but it will be very risky and dangerous for you and baby and you would need to do it with a very experienced and confident doctor who can guide you through it

@Misty Rae I wouldn't give up right away because I know many women have had vbacs with like 14months between both births, it is possible, but it can be risky. But have a chat to some doctors in your area, you never know who might be willing to help guide you through it. Just better to ask before admitting defeat. I hope you have a smooth pregnancy and a lovely birth whichever route you end up taking ❤️

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Getting pregnant after c section

When did you get pregnant again after a c section? Our plan was always to have 2 under 2 but that is now out the window because I had an emergency section. I know they say 18 months and we will be sticking to it (as much as I don’t want to) but I’m curious how quickly you got pregnant after your section?

Movements

I’m 28 weeks tomorrow. Yesterday I had loads and loads of movements but today I have only felt small flutters and a couple of kicks throughout the day. I get so confused as some people say they don’t have a pattern but others say they do. We have a Doppler so used it this evening and could hear the heartbeat and then moving but does anyone else get quieter days of movement than others? I am seeing my midwife tomorrow so will check but just find myself getting anxious about it and don’t know when to get checked. I know they encourage it but last time as soon as I got to triage baby started moving loads!
