I'm a little over 2 weeks postpartum and although I haven't been diagnosed with PPD, it does run in my family.
I feel very disconnected from my baby and my boyfriend. My LO hasn't been sleeping barely at all and I'm just struggling with not sleeping a lot. I get frustrated with her sometimes when she wakes up in the middle of the night and I feel terrible and sometimes when I have to put her down to make her a bottle, she'll cry so much that my boyfriend gets up and I get frustrated with him and I tell him to go back to sleep. I know the newborn stage is really hard. The time change didn't help. We stopped breastfeeding and breast milk and switched to formula and we've switched formula twice now and she's still not really sleeping. I have had thoughts of hurting myself, but I've not said anything to my boyfriend because I feel he'll just get upset with me. We got pregnant really early in our relationship (6 months) and I just think about how different things could be if it was still just the 2 of us. I kinda just want to cry all the time. Sorry for the long and jumbled vent.

Please talk to someone you feel comfortable with ❤️ I am going through PPD too and I find talking to my close family/my partner really helps me when I have moments. I understand the frustration for sure, when LO was born he wouldn’t latch and I felt he was starving and I was so so upset and frustrated. I hope it gets better for you soon ❤️ I know what helps me might not be the same for you but just letting you know I understand what you’re going through

It's ok to vent- this is a safe place to share, and we can all relate to how your feeling. The first few weeks are so tough- adjusting to your baby, adjusting to being a parent, and all that your body and mind went through in labor. I second that it is very important to share your feelings and thoughts with your partner right away. I found they got worse the longer I waited to share and make changes. Here to offer a gentle ear if you need 💖
