Professional Advise Please! Toddler says his toys are crying
My 2 year old is really getting into role play which is great! But he often says his toys are crying, I ask why, and he doesn’t say. Sometimes* he says they’re sleepy.
Is this concerning? Is he feeling sad inside?

I think I’ve seen this somewhere before and actually whilst we see “crying”’as a negative emotion, it actually shows your LO is super empathetic and in touch with his emotions. I wouldn’t be concerned but I guess keep an eye out to see if there is something else that he could be alluding to.
I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s very normal for little ones to play and have crying or sad toys, it’s just them learning how to deal with those emotions through play. If anything, I’d say it’s healthy as they aren’t afraid to play around with those emotions x
