My little one has been putting her knees to her chest and grunting. I know it’s not gas because I do exercises with her. Who knows, maybe it is. Her poop has been green and it’s very thick. So I’m assuming it constipation. She eats about 5 ounces every two to three hours. So she gets 6-7 bottles a day, I think. What can I do for her constipation

My son has been constipated for over a month and we have been to the doctors constantly. My doctor told me that apple juice or pear juice can work, you can put a thermometer up the butt (that works really great, but there is a huge mess so be prepared) my doctor also recommended Karo syrup. I just asked my doctor about miralax and she gave the okay. But really if you’re going to give your baby something definitely talk to her pediatrician first.

My boy is the same! Eating amount/time, constipation all of it. Luckily we learned from my first being the same.
We use the baby Frida windi on him. It’s messy. It’s stinky. But it WORKS. it’s the same as the rectal thermometer trick, but I like it better because you can hear the gas being released, giving you a warning that it’s about to be messy.
If he continues to progress like my first did, we will continue to use this but also add in prune juice. We do 1 oz in one bottle a day and it usually did the trick for our first born.

Green poop can mean a food intolerance. With the scrunching and green poop Id say you ate something that bothered her.

My baby was grunting and pushing so bad. Since I started giving gripe water she goes. Takes no longer than 30 mins and it is nice yellow and u can see the relief on her face lol
My midwife referred me to it. Been using since she was 3 weeks I use much less now. But it was a life saver for my baby
