Anyone else?

Been on mat leave for 3 weeks now and I'm so bored I've already done everything I need to do

Hospital bags are packed and ready
Everything I need for me and baby has been bought and is ready
All baby clothes are washed and put away
All nesting done
House is spotless, ready for baby to come.

Everything is done! And I'm so bored feel like I'm sat here all day every day with nothing to do.
I don't have many friends or family so I'm basically alone all day as well.
Not sure what to do with myself and still have 4 weeks left till due date!

Batch cook some freezer meals and cookies etc for when you come home from hospital, decorate for Christmas?

If you like books, start some audio books!

If you plan to do baby milestone pics look on Pinterest for ideas.

Netflix/ Prime has some nice series.

What do you like to do in general, might be able to suggest better ideas based off of that.

Spend the days going to museums, reading parenting books, pampering yourself and planning meals / schedules for post birth period.

Are you ready for Xmas?

@Lucy yeah pretty much, not got the tree up yet but my MIL usually comes over and helps with that and all the decorations because she loves to do that sort of thing but she won't be doing that for another week or two yet

Sort my house

If I was on maternity leave now I'd take the time to go swimming and batch cook. Is there anywhere you'd like to go explore alone? A botanical garden or something like that? 😊

I’ve been off two weeks. 100% not bored! Making the most of TV and Christmas movies and not getting dressed until lunch time 🤣 pregnancy is not my friend so making the most of down time before a different chaos happens!!

I'm swimming pretty much everyday, doing life admin, updating my birth plan, Netflixing and Christmas shopping x

I’ve been on mat leave since end of July and Ive been bored out of my miiinnddd. Trying to see family and friends but many work in the week so it’s hard. Going to try and embrace these last 3-4 weeks before bubs comes but it’s hard. It’s very isolating 😔 x

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

C section compression socks

Hey ladies when did you ditch the compression socks and how mobile were you when you did? I’m so done with them! 6 weeks tomorrow since the op and im walking around the house doing jobs and baby care but not really out and about yet (the odd day I am) is it safe to ditch the socks?

Getting pregnant after c section

When did you get pregnant again after a c section? Our plan was always to have 2 under 2 but that is now out the window because I had an emergency section. I know they say 18 months and we will be sticking to it (as much as I don’t want to) but I’m curious how quickly you got pregnant after your section?

Leaving baby for date night

How old was your baby the first time you left them for a night alone with your partner or friends? How long did you leave them for and who did you leave them with?
