Sorry ladies, really random, I just can't imagine sharing this with anyone in my life and want to get it off my chest.
It's not every day, but often times I get tired and fail to do things I was hoping to do. This then causes me to feel like a failure and spiral into some not so great thoughts.. I keep thinking that my baby will be better off without me because if I'm not here I can't disappoint her. I come from a very broken home and want to break all the generational traumas the women in my family have experienced but instead I feel like I don't know how to be a good mom because I never had an example. I know what i don't want to do but that's not enough. I don't want my baby to struggle or have to deal with what I've dealt with. I want them to be happy and safe and I have zero clue how to provide that.
Sorry again for the dark post I just wanted to put it out there. Hope marking it as sensitive is enough and it doesn't end up upsetting someone.

I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through such a challenging time. It takes a lot of courage to share your feelings, and you're not alone in this journey. Remember that seeking help is a strength, not a weakness. Reach out to someone you trust or consider talking to a mental health professional who can provide guidance and support. You have the power to break the cycle and create a loving environment for your baby. Don't hesitate to take that first step towards a brighter and healthier future.

Hey hun, I’m really sorry you are feeling this way. Don’t apologise for sharing your feelings, to be honest it’s good you are reaching out. Are you able to speak with your Mid-wife about any perinatal mental health care that is available to you? I think try this route and hang in there, the fact you want to break the cycle is testament that you indeed doing a good job already. Give yourself some grace.xx
Thank you all so much for your supportive words 💕 I sometimes want to share things with my midwife but I think because I'm always so cheery and happy(they say this themselves) when I go that I can't bring myself to say something negative. But my company does offer employee assistance programme so maybe I can start with that. They're not specialists in pregnancy mental health but it's something I guess.
I'm also really worried about PPD and I've made a lot of conscious effort to reduce risks as much as possible but it's still a worry. Maybe I should try and focus on things one day at a time.
Thank you again for all your kind and encouraging words. I'll definitely do my best to seek some kind of extra support 💖
