I'm currently a SAHM with a 1.5 year old and a 4 year old and can't seem to get myself organised. 🙈
4 yo goes to nursery on the mornings but 1.5 yo only has 1 nap after 4yo is back home so I never have a break.
What activities do you do most often?
When do you make dinner?
Biggest hack to keep the kids entertained by themselves for a little while?
We do screen time but 1.5 yo is not too interested yet and is very clingy at the moment.
Also bedtime I'm often by myself as partner works shifts. I clean the kitchen after the kids are asleep but not much time left for meal prep.
What am I doing wrong? 😅

When my son was younger I went to dollar tree and bought a bunch of educational stuff like the books you can trace letters in, puzzles, the abc chart that they have in school and so much more. My mom is a school teacher so I grew up always learning. This is a option. You can always put on grace’s corner, jack hartman or singing walrus and these YouTube Channels will help keep your kid learning and engaged. I don’t have a solid routine but I would wing it and do what works for me. I hope this help.

At that age I used to do a lot of hide and seek with my daughter. An enclosed ball pit can be pretty entertaining for a while. My daughter loved peas and corn frozen when she was young so I was pretty lucky with that lack of prep hahaha. But tons of frozen meals or I made lentils pretty often bc they cook super fast, esp the already split ones. Stuff like lentils and rice/lentils and pasta etc.

I feel like life didn't get "easier" until 2 bc she became more aware and had a longer attention span so she'd like color by herself for ages. Do you have any push toys? Like a little stroller for your kid to push. A sit and spin is pretty entertaining for them too.

yeah that would be so much easier, unfortunately our kitchen is tiny and there's not much space for a learning tower let alone counter space for 1yo to entertain herself 🫣

@Janet good points thanks! Yeah she loves her little stroller and the play kitchen too but I guess it'll ve easier once she will play with them more than 5 mins at a time 😅

Generally I feel much better knowing I'm not the only one serving quick frozen meals most of the time 👍 it's the only way it works at the moment
