We always tried to talk to our toddler and include her with everything, even if I tried to get her attention she completely ignores, I would have to go up to her and get her attention, she doesn't talk much even tho we been talking she just simply babbles with a word or so in there, should I be concerned about this? She's meeting her words to a extent, I have a 2 month old with me at all times so at times it's hard to get to play with my daughter but every chance I get I do try to teach her stuff like colors and shapes but she's not interested at all she just grab the toy/blocks ect. And walk away and ignore me

I have a one year old he does the same thing I talked to multiple doctors they just told me it’s normal and he’ll pay attention when he’s ready ❤️

so I should I be continuing to talk to her even if she's not listening? I feel like she's in her own world most times unless she wants something, we tried to get her to say words she knows like sippy cup or uppies/up(pick up) but she doesn't repeat them at all she knows them but she doesn't say them or even sign language with them, she know some sign language cause of ms rachel

Yes continue to count to them speaking to the keep her watching miss Rachel and she eventually will understand. I kept calling my sons name everyday and teaching him what stuff is like eat eat or let me know when his sleepy or wanna play (side note)> he didn’t know any of these) but as I kept doing it everyday he finally got it it’s just whe. They ready ❤️❤️

A toddler who doent speak a lot is not super uncommon. Some kids understand, but aren't ready to use their words yet. Keep modeling language, and if you are concerned you can talk to your pediatrician for some reassurance.

Just keep talking to her. You might just wake up to a language explosion one day soon. My baby only started saying mama a month ago and now she’s up to about 50 words. Your daughter may be focusing on her motor skills right now and will focus on language later and that’s ok.
