Sleeping on front help!😬

My little one can roll from her back to her front (and does this constantly at night) but then struggles to return to her back from her front. I’m constantly waking up to find her rolled onto her front, and every time I’m turning her back over but this is now becoming 6-7 times a night and each time it’s waking her up. I’m just worried that because she’s not so good at rolling onto her back, that I should continue to roll her back over. But I know within 5 minutes of me being asleep, she’ll just roll onto her front again lol.

When is it safe to allow her to stay on her front? I’m just very worried as she seems to have her head RIGHT down in the mattress (as shown in the photo).

Is anyone else’s baby constantly rolling at night? It’s a great skill, but it’s causing me so much anxiety as a FTM lol. Thank you xx

My baby has slept on his front since birth. Don’t worry, he is safe as long as you don’t put any pillows etc. 😊

My baby does this, too. Even the face planting of the matress! I was going through the same thing of rolling her back but I watched her for a while and if she can't breathe properly, she turns her head to free her nose. I decided I feel confident that she can lift her head and clear her airway if she needs to. If your baby has good head and neck control, then I think you can be reassured that she is ok. Of course, it's about what you feel safest doing xx

My baby is the same
I’ve given up on trying to get him to sleep on his back as he keeps turning as well
Instead, we are focusing on giving him loads of practice to learn how to roll front to back

thank you for this. She’s got good head control too and I do feel like she could move herself if needs be, it’s just so worrying isn’t it!

She settles so much better when on her front too that I almost feel bad for keep turning her back! Xx

Me too! My LO learned to roll like 3 days ago and has been constantly rolling at night! I was up every 45min-1 hour as she fussed most times when she rolled… Last night was so much better, but I left her sleeping when she was on her side of if her head was to the side. It’s very worrying isn’t it! I’m trying to teach her in the day to roll onto her back, hoping she’ll pick it up quickly😭x

it’s so worrying!! It’s driving me mad too because she’s sleeping peacefully on her front but then I can’t sleep as I feel like I need to watch her just to make sure. Or roll her over but she just wakes up ahahhaha xx

Dummy

My baby has had a dummy since about 2 weeks old (now 5 months) and over the course of the last month we weaned her off it during the day only for naps and night (which was fine) and then 5 days took it completely away during the day.

The first day no dummy was fine, the second bit rougher. But now it feels impossible she just moans and cries all the time it takes ages for her to go down to sleep (she’s always been an amazing sleeper)

I thought it was meant to get better as time went on not worse. I’m at my wits end I dunno what to do.

Currently typing this as she screams uncontrollably in the car and I cry with her cos I can’t do anything.

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Is this normal?

My 12m old is really funny with kids going near him, he’s always been this way, but anytime family’s kids sit next to him or head his way he moans or cries and moves away. He also really observes them and is never really relaxed, always looking over his shoulder. Has anyone experienced this? (He’s starting nursery properly tomorrow so hoping this helps) but is this normal?

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!
