So we’ve been weaning for a few weeks now and our LO has absolutely loved everything we’ve given her, so much so that she gets really annoyed when she’s finished everything that I’ve served up to her and I’m wondering if I’m not giving her enough.
We normally do a tablespoon of Ready Brek for breakfast with oat milk (she’s got CMPA) and some fruit puree and nut butter, maybe half a yoghurt or some melty puffs for lunch and about a tablespoon of veg puree or some of a pouch for dinner. Should I be giving her more at dinner time? I’m sure if I gave her more she would guzzle it down, I’m just not sure if her wee tummy could cope at this age!

As long as you offer their milk feed as normal 30 mins - 1 hour before the meal, then let babe have as much as they like! As long as they’re already filled up with the milk as that’s more important at this age
They say babies can’t over feed themselves so will just start to play with the food or start dropping it rather then eating it when they’re full/finished :)

Thanks and , that’s really reassuring! I’m just a bit worried that left to her own devices she would gorge herself! She started crying the other night because she had finished all her courgette and I didn’t have more to give her! 😂
Good to know about the fist sized portions too, I hadn’t heard that before.

If you have Facebook, join the group Weaning the BLW way! It’s sooo good, I was always so anxious with weaning and had so many questions but they have reassured everything, and give advice on all the dos and don’t and serving sizes etc :)

I hope so! 😄
