Important question

Hi girls. So I'll be 28 weeks on Friday .. I know when I'm 36 weeks I have appointment with midwife to discuss my birth plan .. with my first born I had a C-section cos her heart rate was slowing down on every contraction they said it's possible I'll have to have another C-section or could try a natural birth... I'm worried and scared it's going to happen again with the heart rate slowing ect .. if I wanted another C-section would they let me as that would most probably make me feel what's best for little one ?

You can choose to have a c section it's totally you're decision. I had a emergency c section 11 yrs ago & a vbac 3 yrs ago & they still asked me what I want to do so don't worry you will be able to have a c section just tell them 😊

Some hospitals allow elective c sections, but some don’t. It is worth speaking with them to see if that’s an option

My first birth was very similar to yours baby wasn’t coping with contractions so I had a very calm c-section. This time I had a meeting with the consultant at 12 weeks to discuss my options and we have opted for a c-section again which will get booked when I see the consultant again at 32 weeks 😊 if you’ve previously had a section they can not deny you one as vbac have there own risks etc

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

C section compression socks

Hey ladies when did you ditch the compression socks and how mobile were you when you did? I’m so done with them! 6 weeks tomorrow since the op and im walking around the house doing jobs and baby care but not really out and about yet (the odd day I am) is it safe to ditch the socks?

Getting pregnant after c section

When did you get pregnant again after a c section? Our plan was always to have 2 under 2 but that is now out the window because I had an emergency section. I know they say 18 months and we will be sticking to it (as much as I don’t want to) but I’m curious how quickly you got pregnant after your section?

Feeling so overwhelmed

I have gone back to work this last week. I’m struggling so much. My baby has just started nursery and she’s finding it really hard. She’s also ill with a terrible cold and conjunctivitis at the moment. Sleep is horrendous - I’m getting maybe 4/5 very broken hours having to co sleep. It feel so hard. Last night I argued with my partner so badly and I feel like our relationship is taking such a hit. He reassures me and says all the right things I just feel a bit numb/sad this last week/2weeks. I’m also considering stopping breastfeeding after doing it exclusively for a year.
Just wondered if anyone is feeling the same/similar? X
